Lakisama Welcomes a New Board Member

At Stichting Lakisama, we’re going through a board transition this month – a great moment to both reflect and look ahead.

Asante sana Simon
Simon has been involved with Lakisama since the very beginning. We want to thank him for his commitment. He always reminded us that the children we support are full of life and eager to move forward. He also made sure we never forgot how difficult that can be without parents, especially in a country where access to education is not a given. As he himself said: "every child wants the same opportunities – no more, no less." With Lakisama, we can give them the chance they deserve: not pity, but the opportunity for a better future.
Simon, thank you for your valuable contribution and the insights you’ve shared with us. And we’re holding you to your promise to keep supporting Lakisama. ;)

Mambo Selma
At the same time, we’re thrilled to welcome Selma as our new board member! She strongly believes in our mission and sees many opportunities to help Lakisama grow. Selma has a background in strategy, organization, and marketing, and brings experience from both the corporate world and the public sector. We’re looking forward to working with her and are confident that her expertise will be a great addition to Lakisama!
